Some updates
and an announcement
Friends, I’ve been treating my newsletter like my non-existent website. Full dread and reluctance to touch it. But that’s mostly been because of my laziness. All my productivity seems to go into writing my books and I almost forgot I had a newsletter.
Anyway, the exciting news is that I published Only You, as a narcissist like me is wont to, on my birthday. (Yes, thank you, I’ll be accepting presents the whole of this month).
It’s doing ridiculously well. And I’m very pleased of course. Because that means….
Ha ha, I’m kidding.
Not.
But the other exciting update I wanted to give you all is that my new book All Drama No Queen is being published by Penguin Random House in April and the pre-order link is up and running.
Isn’t that cover just gorgeous? I’m so kicked about how this book has shaped up!
All Drama No Queen is not a direct sequel of Twenty Nine Going on Thirty but it features characters from the earlier book, and the main characters are Farida and Irshad. You can read this book even if you haven’t read Twenty Nine Going on Thirty.
All Drama No Queen is up for pre-order and although it says the book will be available by 5th April, I’ve been informed that it might take a wee bit longer.
Friends, get this book and read it! Why? Because it’s an intense but also heart-warming love story. And we need all the love stories we can right now!
I’ve fallen far behind in my recommendations. I’m currently reading A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas. But here are some of the books I read recently and enjoyed, and some others I’m looking forward to reading, in no particular order.

Another book I’m excited about is Homework by Lavanya Karthik.
My TBR on my bedside is piled high with books that I plan to get to eventually. One of these is Shabnam Minwalla’s Saira Zariwala is Afraid which I started reading but strangely got sidetracked and will finish soon.
I’ve also got Kavitha Mandana’s Abbakka sitting on my desk, staring back at me.
As a child, I was desperate to get hold of books to read and my father would buy them now and then, which my brother and I would read and re-read and re-read. Later, we wished so much for a library near our house that we even became members in a government library nearby which was musty and dusty and would make us all get sneezing fits. But we would be able to get books that all of us (my mother, brother and I) would sit down with and read quietly in our respective corners.
My biggest worry, much like Bijal’s Amara from Bhura, used to be that I might run out of books to read. Now, thankfully that won’t happen. What will is that I’ve run out of time to read.
