Another win for The Henna Start-up!
Hello friends,
This newsletter is a bit delayed because I’ve been trying to catch up on regular life after all the events of the previous month and this month’s. November was chockfull of travel (honestly cannot bear the idea of travelling to the airport again any time soon). Starting with Calicut, and then Delhi Bookaroo, a brief stop in Malaysia, a day at Nagpur, and finally, rounded off November with Bookaroo Baroda, I can tell you it’s been such a whirlwind. But it was all so exciting too, bringing The Henna Start-up to so many new readers.
Speaking of The Henna Start-up, I attended the Crossword Book Awards 2024 in Mumbai at The LaLit on 8th December. And I’m delighted to let you all know that I won the jury award for best children’s book for The Henna Start-up, along with my good friend Shabnam Minwala who won for her novel Zen.
It was a fantastic evening and so much to talk about. If you’ve been following me on social media, you’ll have a good idea of what I’ve been up to.

Meanwhile, the final book of Hotel Moonshine series came out last month and I’m happy-sad that the series has now ended. It’s been such a journey, living with these characters for more than two years and I was waiting to bring Ethan and Aashna’s story to a conclusion because I knew everyone was waiting for it.
I’d love to hear from you all if you read the book and what your thoughts are on the conclusion of the series. As for something new, my KU readers will have to wait a while because I will be bringing a new series only in late 2025.
Meanwhile, other things will keep happening, and I will have another YA novel out, also in late 2025. I’ll keep you posted, so don’t unsubscribe!
Here are some free books.

I’ll see you back here in January 2025, InshaAllah.
