Sometimes, it’s entirely possible for two people to have the same idea. It’s natural. However, when this happens to us, we feel betrayed for various reasons. We feel that it’s not fair that someone else wrote their book first or had the idea for this particular movie. This is what I tell writers when this happens to them. And don’t worry if your idea is already out there. What you can bring to it is entirely unique.
