Hits and Misses…
May 16, 2008 on 5:00 pm | In Just Stuff |No hits so far..
Only misses.
Yesterday there was too little salt in the curry and roti. Mansoor complained that they make him uneasy and he feels like throwing up. I felt like throwing something AT him.
Today there was too much salt in the curry and the rice. Mansoor complained that I should have made some chicken fry and everything else would have been forgiven. I felt like throwing HIM out of the house.
Time seems to run away like its grown a million legs while I try to finish making breakfast and lunch together so I can put Az to sleep and work peacefully. Before I know it, its 11 am! I really need to grow more organized. Thank god its the weekend tomorrow!

The key is, to cook a few dishes at one time and store them in the fridge (keep the temperature as cool as possible!) and then the rest of the days you can get time to focus on other chores ‘n responsibilities…and just do not tell hubby your secret.
Benglori men do not take too well to “baasi khaana”…what they don’t understand is, that when it’s in the fridge, it’s as perfect as “taaza khaana”
Good luck dost!

Kya Kahoon. The problem, or blessing, whichever way u want to see it is that Zak eats just about everything, Pa eats just about everything, baasi, taazi, any day-zi, any temperature, no masala, lots of masala. I don’t have brothers, probably they wouldve been fussy, I don’t know. So I really don’t know what to say to make u feel better :)!!

I know just how you feel… I only have to cook on Sundays and occasionally on other days when my cook can’t come, and that’s enough to drive me mad, specially now with the twins and the absolute necessity of having two to four reasonably fresh home-made meals every day, including rotis, white rice, red rice, fruit, curd, milk, paneer, non-veg… Amit has been trained long ago that it’s easier to praise my cooking (no matter how bad) than it is to venture criticism (no matter how well deserved).
